Studio Mischer'Traxler

Milan Furniture fair is coming up this month and someone ready to exhibit there is Studio Mischer'Traxler . Among their product we find the series called RealLimited. RealLimited is about limited editions that reflect limitations in reality: untouched nature, maintained traditions, old craftsmanship, languages and dialects... Here are some sneak peaks on their products and some of the will take part in the Design Connection Brainport and Academy Eindhoven exhibition in Milan.

So spring is right around the corner and soon the most important accessorise will be sunglasses. Personally I have a big box of them already, but you can never really have to many, can you? The Australian eye-wear designer Omar Seluj is out with his debut-collection of two different styles of sunglasses, that comes in three different colours each. It’s only a limited edition but it sure looks good!

Crayon Rings

This is juts how I like it; playful, innovative and funky! The young Brooklyn designer Timothy Liles has made these rings in crayons, so I guess there is no doubt he has a colourful imagination. You can buy the useful accessorises in packages of 8 colours at The Future Perfect.

Loto massage oil

When it comes to beauty products the packaging design often tend to be colourful and “loud” competing for you attention among so many other products. in the supermarket. Personally I think pharmacy-products have a more serious approach to it, and the subtler the packaging is; the more I find it trust worthy. This Loto massage oil has precisely the look I like, with both the old fashion feeling and the typography spot on! Designs by P576, the packaging is made with recycled cardboard, with the line’s distinctive seal hot stamped in gold, and affixed typographic labels that describe the makeup of the product, to create elegant and sophisticated packaging that alludes to the individuality of the scent inside.

Tante Guri

Just a month ago some friends of mine opened a small store in Oslo. The store, witch you find at Kampen park, is a design-, art- and event store. Here you will not only find a big variety of design products, but you can also take a seat (on the nice bench inside or outside in the park in the summer) and enjoy a cool German soft drink or old fashion candy. I have helped them out creating the graphic profile, and I really do love how the whole store has come together. So if you are in Oslo, make sure to take a trip to Tante Guri this weekend!

Chocolate Designs!

Second up is something I have been thinking about for a while… I just simply love chocolate, and lately I have seen a lot of really nice chocolate packaging’s. So here is the list of some chocolate designs I find to be both interesting and appetizing …

Chocolate pyramid with 3 pieces of different chocolate inside. The design made by Nikolas Lerakis is aimed for men and plays off on the French expression: « eat your emotions » (meaning eating to compensate for your suffering).

Chocolove is a not only an organic chocolate but its also a love statement. The package design resembles a love letter sent from a distant land, and inside each wrapper - a classic romantic poem. Who wouldn’t melt for that?

Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find out much information about this nice packaging for Lindt chocolate other than its supposed to been designed by student Michael Seitz. Via Portfolio Center

Danish Summerbird does not only have a lot of flavours to offer, but many packaging’s as well . One of the strangest ones being the chocolate-sushi kit with gnashes and balsamic for you to dip you chocolate in… Or what about chocolate in a tube or a glass?

Choclatea is bars of chocolate with sublime tastes of aromatic tea. Nothing is as good as a big hot cup of tea on a cold day specially not if it comes whit a bite of chocolate with it. Not only does the flavour combination seem interesting, but the packaging looks really good as well! Via The dieline

Tokyo's 100% Chocolate Cafe can offer you over 56 types of different chocolates, even cheese and black pepper chocolates. They also serve chocolate drinks, chocolate pastries, chocolate ice cream, and even chocolate sandwiches. Their package’s seem to have been inspired by pantone colours and are clean, fresh and modern.Via The Dieline

Strømme Throndsen Design

Every day I look through a bunch of my favourite blogs and I must say I am happy to see more and more articles about Scandinavian designs. Even Scandinavian packaging is now being internationally recognized, one of them being Strømme Throndsen Design. They was recently rewarded with the award for design excellence for their packaging on Holli Mølle, Organic Flour. With a black base, a few strong colours and big and bold letters, they are targeting the modern women willing to pay a little extra for safety, taste and nutrition of the organic flour.

Yukk!

I love it when you guys submit your work or tip me at my inbox , and today I will show you a packaging submitted by Luke (thank you)! The packaging it self is not what I find the most interesting, it is nice enough but nothing really special. What is special is the text, it really has attitude! The Austrian based Yukk says they can supply you with the best looking and best tasting coffee and water products in Australia, but I think its safe to say they can give you the best and most edgy attitude as well! Love it!
